What's up in May?

I couldn't resist from having this one start off this month's entry...Rylie is so full of smiles and joy it is so fun for Melanie and me to see how full of happiness she is!

Don't be deceived...while she does take naps, it is usually in 20 minute increments. We spite those of you who have children who take 3-4 hour naps. Oh, how would it be!!!
We've started Rylie with oatmeal. It is as nasty as her face makes it out to be. I keep telling Mel we should be putting hotdogs, filets, and the likes in the blender and at least give her something good to eat. Mel hasn't quite fallen for it though.
We are amazed at the sincere love that Brendan has for his little sister. He is so sweet with her. He laughs when she laughs, cries when she cries, and just loves to be with her and hold her in his arms.

Mel and I are keeping our fingers crossed that the love they have for each other lasts forever.

Just for the record, I seldom let my son use a purple cup. When it does happen, I try even harder to keep those pictures off the blog. Oh well, one can't hurt the ego too much.

We've been working with the "soft-smile" instead of the big cheese-ball smile he usually gives.

Twice the food, half the time...doesn't get much better than that!

Mommy's little helper...

Daddy's little helper...(obviously better trained than Mel's helper).

In case anyone was wondering, yes that is Woody from Toy Story 2 on the TV. Nothing like Toy Story and blueberry muffins for breakfast.

Nevermind Brendan's mismatched pajama's (those of you with children surely understand why one might have different bottoms than a top), this was me babysitting...one in the front-pack, one in the arms and one arm free for me. Who ever said parenting was hard?

Brendan LOVES to help out. It doesn't matter what we are doing, he is tons happier if he is helping. This was Brendan setting the table for us. It's actually quite helpful at times!
