So here's the October monthly update

Here's what we've been up to this month. We hit up the Woodbury fire station open house--yeah, I know, I had more fun than Brendan did by far. But I think that he did have a little bit of fun. And actually, as you'll see below, it looks like Melanie might have had the most fun of all.

I kept hoping that he was tall enough to pull the horn. I didn't have the guts to and he would have been the perfect excuse. Oh well, I have one year to train him on that one.

Here we go...I think I look so good I'm tempted to volunteer.

And Mel, talk about a natural look.

The poor guy needed some search and rescue after this was captured!!!!!!

It looks like he was about to faint here. Not sure what he was thinking.

We then decided to go to the pumpkin patch. It was fun for this kids. Nothing like the fire station, which I still think about everyday, but Brendan had fun running around with our neighbor who was also there. My favorite was that anytime Brendan got on one of the tractors he would look at me and say, "Daddy, how does it work?" I seriously thought about trying to fire it up, but realized that if I have to go to court for a parking permit ticket at a state park (which I do) the punishment for trashing a pumpkin patch with 1920's tractor just wouldn't pay off.

As for the cinnamon rolls, Mel was so proud of her Paula Dean cooking that I had to throw these on. They were dang good.

I love the pictures at the fire station, too! It looked like all of you had fun to me...well, maybe not so much for our sweet Rylie! She looked like she had more fun at the pumpkin patch so it was a good thing you did both!

The cinnamon rolls have my mouth watering already! How about it you make them for Thanksgiving at our house?

Love you!
