Well, after a long time of not updating our Blog, I decided it was time to do so. After a long, very long, summer, Melanie and Brendan will finally get to come back to Indiana in one week from today. I am muy muy excited to have them back! Here are a couple of pictures that we have Brendan and Kaylee and Adam. Of off memory, here are a few of things I remember from the summer:
-Brendan is now walking like there's no tomorrow
-He discovered his love for snow cones, Otter Pops, ice cream bars (which are also very messy), eating ice and anything else that makes his mouth go numb
-He had his first tube ride at Lucky Peak
-He finally met Brian and became better acquainted with his two cousins from Jeff's side and even more so with his seven cousins from Melanie's side
-He not only understands way more English than we realize, but has also mastered a few words such as Grandpa, Grandma, church, pizza, horses (which he absolutely loves to see horses), Uh-oh, amen, hi dada (which he now will find the phone and point it and say "hi dada" when he wants to "talk" to me, cheese, and I'm sure many more I am forgetting
-Unfortunately, he's mastered walking around in high-heels (ya, thanks Mel!)
-He discovered how to climb out of a crib and a pack-n-play (the first two time with a big thud and the last time much more gracefully)
-He's becoming very independant and wants to do everthing by himself
-He discovered that if he wakes up at 6:15 every morning and only takes 30 minute naps he has so much more time to roam the house getting into things he shouldn't
-He started going to nursery--first few weeks were rough, but now he loves it (especially snack time because he gets his own mini cup of water to dump down the front of his shirt)
-I guess I could go on and on, but I'll sum it up saying he simply learned how to be a little boy

Such good pictures! Even though I'm sure it's been a long time to be away, it's kind of fun that you've been able to see all the things he's learned over the summer. You should have Mel make a list of all the changes she's noticed this summer too. I think it's so much fun to watch how quickly they learn.
Sorry that's not the best picture of Adam, but all the rest he has devilish red eyes--kind of scary actually.
